I
am pleased to address through this message the international communications and
information societies. We have launched a national plan to transfer Egypt
into an active partner in the fast growing global information society.
Accordingly, we are supporting the EUMEDIS initiative that aims at empowering
and interconnecting the Euro- Mediterranean communities.

|
We
believe that regional cooperation in the IT field will bring nations closer
together, it will also create and forge partnerships between entities within
nations transforming our world really to a global world.
I believe that we should celebrate
the initiation of a number of
projects in the CIT area under the EUMEDIS initiative that is considered
a unique example of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership. I am also proud that here at the MCIT, we were able to support the initiation of the projects under the EUMEDIS
initiative and that the Egyptian entities are participating in a large number of these projects.
Finally, I would like wish all the participants in the projects the best, in achieving and the goals they have put together. |
